So one thing I frequently hear with regards to the USSR is that everyone got paid the same amount of money for doing different jobs. However, it's clear that many were better off under the Bolsheviks than other were, so what was pay like? Was it a government sponsored meritocracy? Were all wages the same? Just how well was wealth distributed? Thank you so much in advance.
