That is, did any director from the silent era direct a film after 'Family Plot' in 1976?
Edit: a commenter pointed out that Luis Buñuel's That Obscure Object of Desire was released in 1977, but the comment was removed. Buñuel had directed the famous silent short film Un Chien Andalou in 1929.
Wu Yonggang, director of the famous 1934 silent film The Goddess, has at least 5 films credited to him after 1977: Third Sister Liu in 1978, Tea Boy Kidding His Master in 1979, Evening Rain in 1980 (co-director with Wu Yigong), Dong Bowu in 1981 (co-director), and My Memories of Old Beijing in 1982 (co director with, again, Wu Yigong). He died after that last film, in 1982, at age 75.
