Not true. This aircraft was in production from about 62 and in service from the mid 1960s and only retired from active service this year. It is the CH-46. This picture is probably taken 64 or 65. The bizarre outfit (lack thereof??) is probably a crossing the equator ceremony, which were pretty weird back then…
