Did the Renault AMR-35 & Renault FT-17 have radio installs? If so, where on the vehicles are the antennas mounted? Additionally, what kind of whip was used?
The French were still of the mind that mostly only command, recon, or observation tanks should have radios. Radios were only issued to AMR-35s FT-17s for special purposes and models. Antenna placement could change depending on the vehicle model as well. The ADF 1 supposedly had a large antenna that compromised its low sillhouette, but any pictures I've seen of one have had their antennae removed. The YS 1 appears to have an antenna in a metal insulator place above the turret, and so on.

If I could possibly tack onto my own question actually. I frequently see models of French tanks featuring the roundel on the top of the vehicle in order to identify it to friendly aircraft. However, I have found it extremely rare to see an actual occurrence of the roundel on a French tank in historical photos. Why the discrepancy?
