If someone was Half German and half French, were they thrown in a concentration camp with the rest of the people the say inferior to them? Did they have normal lives (like those living in Nazi Germany)? What about if they can trace their genealogy to someone who wasn't German (let's say their Great Grandmother wasn't German), but the rest of their ancestry was German? How far back did Nazi Germany go to determine if someone was "pure" German or not?
Do you mean Aryan? Even some Germans were placed into Concentration Camps.
The Nuremberg Laws (1935) defined anyone who had three or four Jewish grandparents as a Jew, regardless of whether that individual recognized himself or herself as a Jew or belonged to the Jewish religious community. Many Germans who had not practiced Judaism or who had not done so for years found themselves caught in the grip of Nazi terror. Even people with Jewish grandparents who had converted to Christianity could be defined as Jews.
