There are a few movies regarding Italy's involvement in WW2 out there. One is Captain Corelli's Mandolin which tells the story of the Acqui Division in Greece.There's also an Italian made movie about the Pavia Division in North Africa called La Linea del Fuoco. I could only find the German trailer but there's an Italian language version with English subs available too.

Italy's kind of a forgotten belligerent in WW2. A lot of this is due to an influx of misinformation that is still widely regarded as fact, propaganda that came out of the 'parallel war' (the north African conflict before any German or American involvement) which is still used by many historians to generalize an incredibly complex issue. So Italy still has a bad reputation of poor performance in WW2, which does have some truth to it, but deserves much more analysis. The result of this perspective has made general opinion view the Italians as a Minor player in the war. When in reality Italy was a very significant nation in the war. There would not have been a war in North Africa, nor an MTO had it not been for Italy's involvement.
