How would a young child (say, 12 years old) in Victorian England be treated if he/she committed a crime?

Like the title suggests, was there a separate criminal justice process for children in the 19th century in England, or were children accused of crimes put through the same process as adults?

Same process. This http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20081023145831/http://learningcurve.gov.uk/snapshots/snapshot25/snapshot25.htm is an interesting educational resource that deals with child criminals.
