Sure.

I don't think there are many arguments that the Civil War was about racisim.

The Civil War was about slavery.

There were certainly people who were anti-slavery but still racist to one degree or another.

(Though I don't think that "racism" as a term was much used, or well defined in the arguments about slavery which led up to the Civil War.)
