Napoleon spoke French and Italian, and then learned English in 1815 and 1816, while in exile at St. Helena. Several scraps from his lessons survive to this day. Since the Napoleon they grabbed in Bill & Ted's was from 1805, you can rest easy. There is no plot hole.
