To clarify, by serious talk I mean political leaders, such as senators or governors, bringing up the threat of secession, and having others support it.
Yes, but as every example I have is from the last 20 years it wouldn't fit in this category.
Edit: Just to clarify most of the examples I've read about could probably be seen as posturing rather than serious, but it was posturing by political leaders.
