ID Request for possible Native Texan Artifact

by ProfJemBadger

https://imgur.com/a/itT5U On a recent visit, my grandmother gave me these two stones and told me she found them as a child when her granddather plowed a field near Victoria, Texas. Her father told her they were "Indian weapons", but I am sure they had a purpose other than violence. They are relatively soft with no marks, leading me to think they were not hammers or weapons, but I cant begin to imagine what they would be used for. The holes on the end of each are what really confuse me. Any ideas or solutions are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I am well aware that someone may have been playing a joke on my young grandmother, but she claims to have fiund many of these, along with hundreds of gastropod fossils (concretions?) she found while fields were plowed and in local streams.

look up waco sinkers, or bolas. Many similar artifacts have been found around Texas. Sinkers were used for fishing.
