Well, pertaining to the "fall" of Prussia, following the Franco-Prussian War, Prussia led the unification of Germany, transitioning into the leading state of the German Empire. Following the fall of the Empire after WWI, its main territories of Brandenburg and East Prussia became states in the new democratic government, while West Prussia became part of Poland. East Prussia was later dissolved following WWII, becoming parts of Poland, Lithuania and Russia. Brandenburg and Berlin remained part of East Germany and are now part of a unified Germany. Culturally they were similar to most other North-German states, being largely protestant and high-German speaking.
