What is an engaging book on the 1960s?

by angelalorainne

Hello all! I'm doing a content module/lesson plan on the 1960s and would like to be more familiar with it myself. I'm going on a long road trip back home for Thanksgiving and usually like to listen to a book that isn't too dry. Any suggestions on something engaging? Thanks!

It's very hard to find a good history audiobook. While I can give you several suggestions for many good physical books on the 1960s, the only audiobook that I can think of off the top of my head is Mark Kurlansky's 1968: The Year That Rocked the World. The book is a great read and looks at the year 1968 within an international context.
