Scottish Rabbit In December 2004 I went on a Christmas trip with my company at the time to a hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond. On the first morning with a raging hangover me and a mate went for a walk around the Loch to clear our heads.
In a densely-wooded, muddy part of the shoreline I found myself looking down (mainly because the marshy ground was difficult to negotiate) and I saw something odd sticking partially out of the mud. I dug it out, washed it a little bit and took it back down to London with me after the weekend finished.
Since then to now I've not done anything with it but it's always intrigued me. It's made of stone of some kind, appears old (to me, at least) and apart from the carvings and wear is unmarked, oh, and is a rabbit.
Anyone got any suggestions on possible age or potential next steps?

It appears to be a recent carving. The lines are too clearly incised, and the eyes in particular look relatively fresh. This looks like the sort of souvenir one could buy in Mexico or perhaps Egypt and/or North Africa.
Just caught up with my father who's suggested it's carved out of soapstone
