Was there discrimination against Irish Catholics in early to mid-20th Century America due to the activities of the IRA in any way analogous to the current discrimination against Muslim Americans?

I was thinking about historical precedents to the current climate of social and religious discrimination against Muslims in the U.S., and I started to wonder if Irish Catholics in America faced a similar kind of discrimination because of the terrorist activities of the IRA.

No, not really.

The IRA bombing campaign was pretty much in abeyance from 1921 to 1969, and even then it focused on British targets.
