If we're talking the late 18th Century, then there definitely were, but probably not in the way you're thinking: quite a few (I'm not sure of exact numbers, I'm afraid) of the volunteer and conscript battalions raised in 1792/3 by Revolutionary France were issued with pikes rather than muskets, because there weren't enough muskets available, or the army's logsitics weren't up to moving enough of them quickly enough, while pikes were quick and simple to make en masse.
