She needs to survive. What would a plausible survivor scenario look like?
How pregnant is she? Is she far enough along that she could deliver the baby? Where in the belly was she shot? Is there an exit wound? Where is the doctor? Is he a surgeon and well provisioned? I feel like these are the kinds of details someone would need to give you a workable scenario. It's an interesting question, though.
