Looking for newspapers that were written primarily for bankers in the 1830s

by jefro2293

Hey all, trying to do some research for my term paper and could use some help narrowing my search. I'm trying to find some old newspaper articles that would shed light on what the bankers at the time were saying during the Panic of 1837. If anyone knows of any newspapers publishing at the time whose target audience was bankers, it would elp out quite a bit. Thanks!

I'm not really aware of any specific newspapers that targeted bankers, but there were 'business' newspapers. The most circulated one at that time was, "The Journal of Commerce," which was published by the Tappan brothers. Keep in mind, it is an abolitionist as well as business newspaper, but it is a pretty good newspaper for getting insight into the northern business class' mind
