Based on the textual evidence, what era of Roman history is Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus supposed to be set?

There are echoes of classical Rome in the setting and imperial infighting, but there are also the Goths and the implication that Rome is being invaded by them.

Is there a consensus on when exactly this is supposed to be set, or is it just an amalgamation of various Roman historical periods?

I would suggest that due to the presence of the Goths and the fact that Tamora becomes Empress, it's meant to take place during the time of Odoacer, Theodoric the Goth and little Augustus. Note that this period of time still had a shit load of Imperial Infighting, Romans never really changed. Just look at the Byzantines later on, one only has to look at how the Makedons came to power. It's so deliciously Roman.
