I would like to know if anyone has some good literature on either of them two. Such as a good book about their life?
It's been almost a decade since I've read on this topic, so maybe there are new works, but from my memory circa 2005:
The classic biography of Zapata is John Womack, "Zapata and the Mexican Revolution," which is getting old, but is still probably the best work available.
For Villa, Freidrich Katz's "The Life and Times of Pancho Villa" is far and away the best researched and most detailed biography. It's not a short read, but it is excellent.
For the revolution as a whole, Alan Knight's "The Mexican Revolution" (2 vols.) was very strong.
I second Katz's book on Villa. Lots of great information on things besides Villa, too.
For the Revolution as a whole , John Mason Hart's Revolutionary Mexico is very good.
