I am trying to find information on my grandfather who was in the Vietnamese military. He has been missing since 1975, and though most of my family has assumed he is gone, I would like to find any pictures or information on him. Thank you!
Was your grandfather attend any South Vietnamese military academies, for example in the national military academy in Dalat, or attain notable rank in the army? If so, then you may be able to find some information on him and I can point you onto some sources.
If he was simply drafted into the military, then unfortunately there will likely be no information available, as those records were captured by the North Vietnamese government in 1975 and are not available to researchers at the Vietnamese archives.
