Depending on your gender and on your and your relatives' age, you, or your relative(s) would've been conscripted. Sadly, I am currently unable to find details on age of conscription in 1937-1941. I do not know how trade was affected during the Winter War, but if you lived in far north, you most likely didn't have much foreign goods anyway. If you lived in the Eastern border, though, your settlement could have been burned by retreating Finns.
