French North Africa didn't become a thing until the 1830s and French Indochina didnt happen until until the 1860s.

French colonial ambitions were greatly limited as a result of the Seven Years War. Here, France joined Austria and Russia for the destruction of Prussia and because of Colonial problems between the British American colonies and Frances Louisiana Territory. France would lose said territory and Canada to Spain and Britain respectively, leaving France with a very small number of Islands in the Carribean, including contemporary Haiti which was an important sugar producer and thus a great source of income.
