I am reading War and Peace, and I am realizing that I'd probably get more out of the book if I had some idea of how the Napoleonic Wars panned out. I'd also be interested in a biography of Napoleon, if that could be considered more appropiate. I am a big fan of biographies, especially Truman and The Years of Lyndon Johnson.

EDIT: On second thought, if a book could describe both the Napoleonic Wars and Napoleon's life in detail, that would be best, but two different books for each subject would also be good. Thank you very much for reading.
I would recommend you look at Owen Connelly's Blundering to Glory and Andrew Roberts Napoleon: A Life. The former talks about Napoleon as a commander and the latter talks about Napoleon as a person. For deeper reading, I would recommend The Campaigns of Napoleon by David G. Chandler if you are able to find a cheap copy as it is out of print.
Concur with Donald. If you want the absolute behemoth to know every Napoleonic War, that's Chandler's Campaigns of Napoleon. It's pricey but it's worth every cent.
