For those who don't know what AC is, it's a historical-fiction video game series in which a modern character uses a device to revisit the memories of his ancestors of an ancient Assassin Order.
Each title in the series visited a certain time period. The uniforms (specifically of the enemies you can fight and kill in the series) are something I'd like to find out about, so how accurate were they for the time periods they were in, in each game title? Here are several concept art images of the enemies' uniforms from several of the game titles you can see.
Assassin's Creed Revelations ( set in 1510's, takes place in Constantinople, Ottoman empire and Byzantine conflicts took place) Ottoman Soldiers: Ottoman Elite Soldiers with Ornate Armour
These Ottoman soldiers fight with daggers in game, this is concept art
Byzantine Soldiers: Lowest ranked Byzantine gaurd
Byzantine Pikeman, known as Varangians in game
Byzantine Bombman, uses shrapnel grenades and daggers
Byzantine "Almogavar", though this one has a long sword, they use axes in game
Assassin's Creed : Liberation (set in 1765, New Orleans Louisiana)
French Soldiers, sharpshooters, left and middle, captain on right
Assassin's Creed 3 (set during American Revolution, British and Patriot soldiers) Patriots: Continental Officer, left, lowest ranked continental soldier, right
Patriot "Jaeger" Elite soldier rank
British: Grenadier with axe who also carried shrapnel grenades, Officer, and regular soldier. left to right
British Jaegers, Elite soldier rank, whom were German Bounty Hunters with the British
Assassin's Creed : Black Flag (set in 1715-19 during Golden age of Piracy, with British, Spanish, Portuguese, and Privateers, also known as "Pirate Hunters")
Brutes, soldiers with axes, Spanish, British, Portuguese, and Pirate Hunter/Privateer, left to right
Assassin's Creed : Rogue (set between 1752-60, Seven Years War, North Eastern North America, NYC, Appalachian River Valley, and the Canadian North Atlantic around Newfoundland, Anticosti Island QC, and Halifax, NS) note: in the game, these soldiers had the same uniforms on both land, and on warships. btw ignore the Assassin ranks, as they're fictional (orange-green uniforms).
There was a soldier rank that carried axes and shrapnel grenades in the both the French/British armies and navies, but couldn't find any concept art of them
These are called "Bounty Hunters", highest rank with cutlass and flintlock pistol
Assassin's Creed : Unity (set in Paris, France, during French Revolution)
"Extremists" (in the game, they were rebels in Paris who fought against French authorities), though they don't have any standard uniforms, would some (like the Extremists who carried spears or pikes) have so much armor on themselves in the real history of the French Revolution? In fact, were there even extremists of such sort during that time period?:
called "Seekers' in the game, carried short swords
