Like to Persia for example?
A short answer that I can expand on if asked. Herodotus is a very interesting example in his preface (first chapter) he sets out he plans to discuss the achievements of both the Greeks and Barbarians. He then goes on in book one to discuss mainly the life of Croesus the Lydian King, and then discusses his fall to Cyrus and then how Cyrus comes to power. He definitely balances his works between the Greeks and Barbarians around the Med. I personally think that there is more to explore and I don't have the time right now. Hope this helps
