I had an uncle who served in the US Army during Vietnam and I would like to learn more about what he experienced.
He passed away and never liked to talk about his time there. I know that he was involved in some very bad combat and received medals for heroism and also that he was a Ranger.
I'm in the process of getting more specific info but are there any good places I can look online? I have spent a few hours on google which I am pretty proficient with but so my my searches have been pretty fruitless.

It does mention some records were destroyed in a fire in 1973, but if he was in Vietnam then those records should not have been affected.
