If the Treaty of Versailles stated that Germany could not have tanks or an Air Force, then why were there not more repercussions prior to the mobilization of German troops in Poland?
Seems that the League of Nations didn't function in any capacity that could stop a government from war acts
Simply put, England, France and Russia had no will to fight. They suffered staggering loses in WWI that led to a political climate that was largely against using force to make Germany comply with the terms of the treaty. Wintson Churchill was, however, outspoken about it. Read his book <i> A Gathering Storm </i> for some great details on the German rearmament program and England's failure to respond. Churchill was out of favor, because of the blunderous Galipololi campaign that he had sponsored as the Minister of the Navy in WWI.
