Just finished Suetonius's Twelve Caesars. Throughout, there were notes at the bottom of pages saying "T.C. - 1," "T.C. - 2," etc. What does this mean?

What is the edition you are using? My guess is that it is a reference to a textual commentary. Were they at the bottom of every page?
