In search of books&sources for the cultural impact of scientific illustrations between 1750-1850

Hi, I've finished Daston and Galison’s Objectivity and it awoke my interest in scientific illustrations. In particular how those works of art influenced culture outside of science or what 'sort of relationships' between people and those illustrations existed in this period (~1750 to ~1850).

The first time I've asked this question, /u/mizzamir suggested

  • Mary Louise Pratt, "Imperial Eyes: Travel Writing and Transculturation"

I particularly liked Martin Rudwick, SCENES FROM DEEP TIME: EARLY PICTORIAL REPRESENTATIONS OF THE PREHISTORIC WORLD. You may also find some good stuff searching for "visual culture" and scientific (or medical) illustration.
