Despite what some have said, the lack of Asian evidence of Marco Polo's travels isn't really any sort of solid point against Marco Polo having made the journey, since his type of journey would have been relatively unremarkable to them. You have to remember that the Mongols conquered very far and wide and assembled a vast trading empire, so people from different lands coming to them would have not been very worthy of note, with Nestorian Christians in particular being spread far throughout the area. There's no compelling reason as to why any Asian would have written about Marco Polo.
