I would appreciate a pdf book (i can't buy one since i'm too broke) that can explain it to me as well.

edit. I remember there was a book called something like 'what english would have looked like if we won the war' but I can't seem to find it.

Do you actually mean British, or do you mean English? I mean, do you want to know about how Norman England affected Scottish culture, and how the Norman conquest of Ireland changed its culture? Because that's unlikely to be in the same document as how English culture changed.
