Give an example of an event in history that demonstrates "fear", as distinguished from disagreement in the philosophy of socialism vs. other governmental and societal forms. (such as capitalism for instance). As socialism is currently practised in many countries, and as especially that it is a challenger to former ways of life in the US, such a discussion would be of a pro vs. con nature. Many would view it currently as desirable as a dictatorship, who wants government to take one's freedoms after all.
