Would the war of 1812 count? If not could someone fill me in on it?

If my memories of APUSH serve me well, this is what happened:

While the Americans did have fear of them being reconquered by the British (especially the conspiracy of the Federalists being in league with the monarchies), Britain made no official plans to take America back.

However, they were slow to move out of the US. It wasn't until Jay's Treaty that the British moved out of their forts in the Old Northwest, and they often impressed American sailors whom were attempting to trade with France (bear in mind, this was during the Napoleonic Wars and UK considered it to be contraband). Following the Leopold affair, America got pissed off and decided to drop the gloves with Britain. Britain did align with the Indians for most of the war and tried to curtail American expansion, but following the Treaty of Ghent largely gave up hostilities with America.

After that, we did have a couple issues with Britain over border disputes/fishing rights but for the most part we were good

From my understanding there were never any plans to invade or start a war with America after the revolution, I can't say for certain why but I can give a few ideas mainly the problem of logistics (transporting an army large enough to retake the thirteen colonies would be a massive undertaking), the USA had britains major rivals supporting it for the first few years and with the Napoleonic wars starting only around 20 years later which took up major resources of Britain (and a hell of a load of debt) leaving little resources for an invasion of the US, there's also the fact that Britain had plenty of other colonies to draw revenue from (India in particular) so they just cut their losses and invested elsewhere. Again not offical but the most feasible reasons why a plan was never drawn up
