[HELP]Does anyone have any links to free online sources for an in-depth discussion regarding the religious aspects of the Spanish Armada? Was its formation inevitable?

by p1nk_8c1d_b00ts

For example, would, had they been successful, the Spanish have executed Elizabeth? How would Catholicism have transformed the country and people's right to choose their religion, had it taken root? I planned to go to the library today to research about the Spanish Armada for a side project, but the weather and my wallet have me in a stranglehold. Checked online, but most credible sources are locked behind a paywall, does anyone know of anything to get me started- books, journals, documentaries, or even names of historians specializing in this area? Youtube videos/podcasts would also be appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

The Spanish Armada: Revised Edition - Pages 59 and 60 talk about Phillip II's thoughts and motives

Most of The Defeat of the Spanish Armada is available online

The same goes for England and the Spanish Armada: The Necessary Quarrel

The Spanish Armada isn't my area of expertise, but I find online source location quite easy via scholar.google.co.uk, particularly if you're part of a university with access to jstor. If you know specifically what you're after (with dates, locations, people, bishops etc.) then it should narrow down the search and make it even easier.
