1993 US indigenous gathering in Hawaii?

by loserlame

Does anyone have info on this? It was supposedly a gathering of natives from Hawaii, Guam, and the US mainland to put the US on trial for war crimes, but I can't find any other info besides that.

Any gathering of Native Hawaiians in 1993 would have almost certainly been related to the centennial of the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii, when Queen Liliuokalani abdicated as Queen of Hawaii on January 17, 1893. There is the idea that the government of the United States violated international law in both assisting the overthrow and subsequently annexing Hawaii in 1898, but it shouldn't be considered as being in the mainstream.
