I've been listening to Hamilton, and they frequently reference Hamilton being an immigrant from the Caribbean. He came to America as a teenager and he wasn't wealthy, so I'm guessing he would have, but was it something anyone ever commented on or wrote about?
On the same note, are accents of any of the founding fathers ever talked about? I would think that they would be rather diverse, but not sure if this is actually the case.
