I apologize in advance for this vulgar question. I was reading this post on vice.com (http://www.vice.com/nl/read/dierlijk-verlangen-vrouwen-en-bestialiteit-235 - I could only find it on the Dutch website) in which a certain 'Dr Miletski' is quoted who makes the following claim (my translation):
"Despite our perception of [bestiality] as morally unacceptable, it has always played a role throughout history. According to Dr Miletsky, men and women used dogs during orgies that could last for days, after which the animals died of exhaustion. The penis of the dead dog was then cut off and used as a sex toy."
Is there any evidence out there supporting these claims? It sounds ludicrous to me (and it probably is), but maybe someone with knowledge on the subject can comment.
EDIT: Thinking about this a little bit more, I would also be interested when anyone could comment on the more general claim. I.e. Is it really true that there were times in history when bestiality was socially acceptable? (E.g. it also claimed that Cheops, the Egyptian pharao, used to "brag about passionate sex with horses").
Hi, I haven't really got the time to look further into what's being discussed but I thought I've had a quick look into the claims you mention.
In an article I found on google books by Hani Miletski. In it she discusses evidence for ancient occurences of bestiality. She says, (citing other works which I can't find), that the Law code of Hammurabi 'proclaimed death for any person engaging in bestiality.'^1 After a quick peruse through the code I have not been able to find such a law.^2 Other's may have better luck.
Her claim surrounding the 'Spring Fertility Orgies' in the same article are all cited from another source I couldn't find or recognise. (the bibliography on google books was unavailable). This was a certain 'Waine, 1968'. Beyond this I cannot identify any reputable work I know of that discusses bestial orgies of that kind in ancient Babylonia and to be perfectly honest I'm not sure I expect to find one. I don't mean to be dismissive, however I do not necessarily believe that the academics involved have used the fully necessary historical rigour on this matter.
Apologies for a fairly unhelpful answer but maybe it will help direct other answers or lines of enquiry.

Edit 2:I remember there was mention of bestiality in Hittite Legal Texts. This can be found here: If you scroll down to page 237. point #200.a http://www.usc.edu/dept/LAS/wsrp/information/REL499_2011/Hittite%20Laws.pdf It provides an interesting insight into the limits of acceptance towards bestiality.
