I'm really not sure if this is the right place for this, but I've been missing my old history classes I took in undergrad and I was wondering if there were any good online resources to learn Greek and/or Roman history at my own pace. I always found that time period to be extremely interesting, and was hoping some of you might have some good suggestions. I'm currently in med school and while I love it to death, I find myself missing some diversity.

Check out The History of Rome Podcast. Also, there is the History of the Byzantine Empire Podcast. Both are informative, well researched and academic. Also, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History has some very entertaining and interesting episodes that concern ancient Roman and Greek history. His "Death Throes of the Republic" Series about the fall of the republic is quite fascinating, but is behind a paywal (I believe the whole serioes is about 5 dollars and is roughly 10 hours long). There is currently a free episode called King of Kings, which concerns the Ancient Persian Empire and looks at it from a contrasting perspective than the Ancient Greeks.
Finally, I am currently listening to the "Life of Caesar" Podcast. Interesting and Entertaining, but not always the most accurate, but never boring.
Lastly, none of the resources are run by academics, but dedicated history enthusiasts. Of them all, The History of Rome Podcast I find to be the most academic of the bunch (though again, the host is not an academic).
