During lecture, the professor stated that Muslims, Christians, and Jews all adopted the criteria of "blackness" to be part of Noah's curse around the same time. However, he also mentioned that the religious texts before never mentioned "blackness" in conjunction with servitude so what I'm trying to understand is how did all three religions adopt the idea of black being a part of the curse?
Muslims don't believe that being black is to do with Noahs curse.. From what I've read on stories from the Abrahamic tradition concerning the progeny of Noah, this is mostly Jewish and Christian theories from the Bible, its called the curse of Ham.
