Both the PRC and USSR aided North Vietnam in a fairly significant amount of ways.

The PRC sent about 320,000 and a significant amount of weapons to North Vietnam, rebuilt infrastructure damaged by US bombing, anti-aircraft weapons and engineer battalions. However, the Chinese were also aiding the Khmer Rogue significantly at this time, to ensure a balance of power between the two countries.

The Soviets aided the countries in a different way, mainly with intelligence, experienced generals, training for the Vietnamese army, and more advanced weaponry than the Chinese could supply.
