My grandfather was in the US Air Force during WWII and this was one of his jackets. What else can you tell me?

I have more (close up) pictures and can take more if they'll help. Unfortunately, I don't know a whole lot more than this, so I don't have much more to add to my post.

Looks like some kind of bomber crew coat. Reason I say this..... All the bombing runs he did 1 bomb is 1 mission. Also service records are a good place to start I'm assuming you know his full name. Ask the VA or contact the military to see if they could help you figure out what exactly he did.
