Accuracy of "The Pirates of Penzance?"

Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance" is a comedic operetta set in the Victorian period. Was piracy still a concern for England during the Victorian age? How did it differ, if at all, from the golden age of piracy?

None whatsoever. They aren't accurate, not to the 19th century and not to the actual Golden Age of Piracy. I wouldn't use that play at all to reflect on historical piracy.
