The Horse, the Wheel and Language by David Anthony (2007). A slightly polemical book that uses a multi-discipline approach to trace the roots of Indo-European languages, and, in the author's opinion, culture. For critical readers this book is still very valuable because of the large amount of archaeological data that is presented; the polemical style makes it accessible to non-specialists as well.
