In general there was no difference between jews and any other nation in the USSR as soviet policy was concerned. But in practice, jews had generally fewer options, had harder time gaining education, and were generally more prone to be sent away (to gulags, to the jewish autonomous oblast, to prison and what not) for anything.

One famous instance is right after Stalin's death his "jewish doctors" were detained in the allegations of poisoning him. Nikita Khrushchev released them later on.
