You might be interested in the career of William Augustus Bowles, which I mentioned in this discussion. It was post-Revolution, but kind of his own private extension of it - he was a British Loyalist who became a privateer (and comedian and, kinda sorta, a chief in the Creek Nation... and made himself an official ambassador from the Cherokee and Creek to England).
His military actions around the fort in Pensacola and against ships in the Gulf of Mexico/Straits of Florida took place mostly in the 1780s and 90s and targeted the Spanish, not the American rebels.
