I'm writing a novel based around world war one. But with 2 small twists one I'm not telling you and the other one is that the tech is that from the napoleonic era. are there some sources about weaponary I can use for my novel?
Btw trains do exist and are quite advanced to use for mass transportation, but troops are still mostly going on foot and horseback!
I would recommend Weapons and Equipment of the Napoleonic Wars by Philip J. Haythornwaite as an excellent source for the weapons technology of the era, but trains were never a thing in the Napoleonic era.
