After playing with ancestry.com for a couple of months I have made an amazing discovery. I am not going to post the discovery because everyone will immediately say I am making it up. Is there someone who I can send my findings to to confirm my work? I would be happy to pay someone (Who I can trust) a couple of hundred dollars. If this is the wrong sub, I am sorry. I know this sub is highly moderated (rightly so)

Is it that you are you related to Charlemagne/William the Conqueror/Frederick I or any other incredibly famous person who lived a really long time ago? If that is the amazing discovering, sorry to be the deflater of your bubble, but that is in no way special. I address this with more length here, but the short of it is that everyone of European descent can reasonably assume they are descended from Charlemagne Grampa Charlie, or most any especially prolific person who lived 1000 years ago or so. Being able to conclusively document that line of descent is somewhat special, as in all but the exceptional cases you are going to run into insurmountable obstacles well short of that point, but even without the documentation, DNA evidence can prove it.

But, if you discovered a link to a really famous person who lived within only the past few hundred years, well, that is kind of special! As to your question, first off, yes, there are professionals who can assist you with these things. I can't make any specific recommendations though, so you should definitely check out /r/Genealogy, which focuses on this specific matter!
