Is the English pronunciation OK to use or is it simply wrong?
Television and cinema / the media use the English pronunciation are they being ignorant or are they simply appealing to the masses by using the pronunciation most will understand? (no offence)
Or is it acceptable to use either? I personally would think not.
If you're talking in English, it's perfectly acceptable to use the common English pronunciation. If you're talking in Latin or quoting a Latin text, you should use the classical Latin pronunciation.
Using the Latin pronunciation while conversing in English may be acceptable. But not if you're doing it just to prove your superiority. No historian or classicist is going to be impressed.
