NWA, the group, was influential, but it wasn't as influential as how much its individual members were. Each member, most notably, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy-E hold enormous influence on the creation of the gangsta rap era. Once they each branched out into solo careers, they sparked the careers of many other famous rappers. Dr. Dre is directly responsible for the careers of Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Kurupt, Daz, Nate Dogg among others. Ice Cube is directly responsible for Mack 10, W.C. among others. Eazy-E is responsible for Bone Thugs N Harmony. Each famous gangsta rapper can be traced back to N.W.A. and more notably its members.
